S3-Hosting-Settings: Add region for Alternative S3-Bucket (Hetzner)

Hi there,
I am using an S3-compatible alternative to AWS delivered by Hetzner which is 100% hosted in Europe. So far the bucket works fine in other applications, but when I try to add it to the hosting-settings in FV, I have to choose the region from a list, that only contains AWS-regions. Is there any possibility to add my Amazon-free region Nürnberg (nbg1.your-objectstorage.com) anywhere else?

Hello IndianerJones13,

I checked the Hetzner page about their object storage: https://www.hetzner.com/storage/object-storage/

They do mention “multimedia”, but it appears it’s geared more towards backups.

However if it can work reliably even for video, it’s great news.

Could you please ask Hetzner support about it?

Is there any CDN which they can recommend to be used together with their object storage? Without a CDN it might be good enough for video serving only in Europe, which might or might not suit your target audience.
