Quality switching for playlist issue

Hi there,

I’m implementing a playlist on my website with ” 480p” : “SD” and ” 720p” : “HD” resolution quality choices for each video in the playlist.

The problem I’m having is that I select the 720p variants, and the player “catches” the SD variant in the first video, but only displays the HD option for the 2nd video in the playlist (2 videos total). The videos are hosted on S3, and the filenames of the 4 videos are listed below:

1st Video
s3://pianovol1/LH/LH03 480p.mp4
s3://pianovol1/LH/LH03 720p.mp4

2nd Video
s3://pianovol1/LH/LH03 playthrough 480p.mp4
s3://pianovol1/LH/LH03 playthrough 720p.mp4

Bit of a head scratcher for me, any ideas what is happening?

For the 2nd video, if I select the 480p as the video in the playlist, I will see only the SD version, and not have the option to see the HD/720p version.

I have just flicked over to the Beta version, and the problem goes away!

Hi Katie!

You found the bug we just fixed and it is in Beta (as you already found out) -MP4 Quality Switching fix for playlists. It will be of course part of next release so there should not be any trouble.
