Problem playing Bunny Stream in FV Player

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › Problem playing Bunny Stream in FV Player

I have been testing Bunny Stream for video but have a problem with FV Player streaming.
    1) I can get the bunny stream to play fine using the raw html and bunny player.
    2) when i load the same stream in to fv player it tells me the video is fine see pic1.
    3) The video will play in the FV Player Admin screen.
4)When I add the FV Player to a page it fails with “HTML5 unsupported video format. Try Installing Adobe Flash”
    5) I have CDN Token and Mediacage turned off.
    6) you can see both the fv player and bunny html versions on this page

Have i got some other setting incorrect

Update: I now have it working, I am not sure why, I removed the PPV and it then ran, i re added the PPV and it still runs, this might not have anything to do with it but further testing will tell.
One other questions FVPlayer doesn’t appear to show what resolution is currently in use, can this be set somewhere in the background ?

    Hello Stuart,

we have tested Bunny Streams recently and have also encountered some mixed test results and odd behavior. Streaming from Bunny is still a very new product. We plan on watching it closely and then adding support for it, if needed.

For the time being, the only things we are aware of causing playback issues are the “CDN Token Authentication” “MediaCage Basic DRM” settings, which have to be disabled for playback being possible in FV Player. Which you have stated in 5) you have disabled both.

Regarding your question about resolution, I believe you are talking about the video quality switching. You can learn how to enable quality switching here: https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/quality-switching

However, since Bunny stream video is an HLS stream, it will not have visual quality switching, as HLS streams have an automated quality switching built in.

    Thanks,
    Maria
