No add media flow player button

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › No add media flow player button

I’ve installed the plugin on my WordPress theme (Unicon), it says it’s compatible, it passes the template check but when I go to Add Media there’s no button where the help files suggest there should be so I can’t add any videos.

    Hello goefffudge,

please check our illustrated step-by-step start up guide, chapter about inserting videos: https://foliovision.com/player/start-up-guide#insert-videos

Please let us know if it works for you and where in “Add Media” you expect to see a button to insert a video. In the above guide it tells you to click the small red “f” icon next to the “Add Media” button, not the “Add Media” button.

We are always looking for ways of making our interface more user friendly, so we will be happy to hear your feedback.

    Thanks,
    Martin

I realize that the button only shows in the “backend editor” editing mode but not when using the Visual Composer that comes with the Unicon theme.

    Thanks.

    Hello goefffudge,

I see it’s some paid theme with custom editor. We use the https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/media_buttons/ WordPress action to put our button in, so could you please ask Unicon developers if they support it?

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello goefffudge,

Just for your information, FV Player now fully supports Visual Composer. You will now be able to use the shortcode editor in the Text Block editor in both Backend and Frontend editing modes. Just update FV Player plugin to version 6.3 and you can use this function without any further settings.

    Thanks,
    Eduard
