"HTML5 Unsupported Video" error on YouTube videos

Hi gang,

After working flawlessly for 6 months, my FV player Pro is not playing YouTube videos. I get the “HTML5 Unsupported Video” error message on PC, Mac and Android browsers.

I haven’t changed anything on my site.

If anyone can point me to a solution I’d be so appreciative.

Hello Bruce,

it works for me on Mac OS X 10.9.5 with Google Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

Please let us know if you are still noticing the issue. Or have you done anything to fix the issue?

I see you use a CDN, have you cleared the CDN cache after the update?

So, do I have to clear my CDN cache every time I update FV Player?

Hello Bruce,

CDN caches any scripts or stylesheets on your website, so it should be cleared when you update any plugin which does something to site front end.

We recommend you set your CDN to respect the query string in the file URLs.

We are working on improving our plugin minify compatibility – it doesn’t work when minified in WP Rocket for example.
