Cloudfront encrypted HLS files don't stream when AutoPlay is enabled

Hi Support,
We currently have ‘AutoPlay’ enabled on our website. We noticed our cloudfront encrypted HLS files don’t stream when AutoPlay is enabled. Your team setup our cloudfront distribution last month.

The link below shows the top video being the encrypted one. The second video isn’t encrypted HLS.

I was able to replicate the issue in our own demo, so we’ll look into it and fix it as soon as possible.

Hello Michael,

FV Player Pro 0.9.9 is out and it fixes the issue.

Unfortunately for now it the “fix” means that autoplay for Encrypted HLS streams is simply disabled. We could make it work, but it could make the video protection a bit weaker. We need to think about it how to really support autoplay for these videos.

Hi Martin,

I updated to 0.9.9 but are unable to disable auto play on Encrypted HLS. I turned off autoplay=”false” but autoplay still overrides. Please see issue link https://www.afrolandtv.com/issue-page/

Hello Michael,

FV Player Pro 0.9.10 is out and so if FV Player VAST 0.7.7. You need to update both plugins to get this fixed. Then the autoplay will be automatically stopped for the encrypted HLS videos and in case you still need to use autoplay=”false” somewhere it will work as well.
