    Hi,
I was wondering why Wordfence is reporting that several files have been changed for FV WordPress Flowplayer? Do you guys change files automatically inside the plugin when it’s installed on a site?
Here are what Wordfence is reporting to me:
This file belongs to plugin “FV Player” version “6.6.6” and has been modified from the file that is distributed by WordPress.org for this version. (For each of the following)
    — Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/test/integration/fv-player-ajax-unittest-case.php
    — Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/models/email-subscription.php
    — Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/test/integration/bootstrap.php
    — Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/test/integration/fv-player-unittest-case.php
    — Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/css/flowplayer-beta.css
    — Modified plugin file: wp-content/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/flowplayer-beta/fv-flowplayer.min.js

Thanks for any insight into this.

    Hello Peter,

there are no changes to the files unless you make a plugin upgrade. If you want to be sure there is nothing wrong with these files I would suggest you download a fresh copy of the plugin from https://wordpress.org/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/ and the plugin folder from your website FTP and compare that using a tool like WinMerge or DeltaWalker, or just diff on the command line.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hello Peter,

I realized that we sometimes put up a new version of the plugin on wordpress.org for the beta testing. Our beta/release switch lets us do that. And it seems like Wordfence reports these changes to you.

So we should be keeping these two version separate, or use the stable tag on WordPress.org.

    Thanks,
    Martin
