chapters inside transcript

Hello,

would it be a good idea to add chapters (if they exist) as headers to the video transcript?

Hello Edward,

the problem is that the chapters are loaded separately. While the transcript is part of the page HTML – giving it a big SEO value, the chapters are used just for the orientation in the actual video.

So this is a bigger job than it seems.

thanks, i see.

Is there any kind of transcript caching by fv player?
To immediately see the changes made to the transcript, I have to delete and paste again the name of the transcript file in the video settings. A simple refresh of the page in the browser via Ctrl+F5 does not help.

Hello Edward,

I forgot to reply – the chapters are cached for 15 minutes. So you should see your changes after 15 minutes.
