When using simultaneously chapters and transcript functions there is a strange behavior in transcriptions. Rewind not working in transcript aria when one clicks on transcript item. But when one clicks on chapters rewind works well.
When transcript and chapters functions are used separately both work well. But if transcript and chapters are used together (for the same video file) – transcript stops work properly.
You can recreate the bug by taking two identical VTT files with same content. But in VTT for chapters you leave approximately 10% of the content (as chapters or something else). VTT for chapters is kept 100% intact.
In that case transcript (rewind) will not work properly.

Hi Clod,
I tested the process you have described in this post, but I was able to rewind back and forth with both transcript and chapters. Could you maybe create a test video where the issue could be seen?

That’s odd. What browser are you using and what version? I can see it on Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Anyway, thanks for sharing your subtitles, I can see now that the player does really have issues with skipping within the transcript, when the chapter and transcript files are different.
I’ll notify our programming department. Thank you for bringing this up.

I’m using Waterfox. I’m now able to see chapters too.
Very weird behavior. If chapters VTT file and transcript VTT file are identical then the problem is missing. But if the chapters VTT file have only some (less) of the subtitles then the problem come to play. Very weird…

Thank you for excellent work.
I hope some custom (renamable) labels setting (on \off) for will be added for chapters and transcript. Users do not know weather it is a transcript or translations, chapters or just a fun moments.

chapters work together with transcript in FV Player Pro 0.8.4, released 3 days ago. You have to use the Beta version of it though, here’s how you switch to it: https://foliovision.com/2016/06/switching-pro-player-to-beta
