youtube playlist limitation

Hi, is there a way to limit the size of the playlist items shown, without chaging the youtube playlist on youtube site?
I need a way to show only the latest 5 videos…

Hello Fabio,

I see we could allow you to use a shortcode attribute like count=”5″, so then it could be:

[fvplayer src="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdgCSoJzrmKGrTcFuxF9dJfWJ0BookIUC" count="5"]

However I’m not sure how we could present that in the shortcode editor. Adding a new fields just for this seems like a waste of space as most people won’t be using it, so it’s asking for checkbox in Post Interface Options as well.

Hi there, any updates on this? We would like to place a playlist on our homepage but don’t want the entire thing loading upon page load.

Hello Jeffrey,

This feature has not been added, but if you want to show a playlist without the items and make it look like a single video, you can use the parameter playlist_hide=”true”. You can also use one of the alternate playlist stylings FV Player is offering – Playlist Styles.
