I was wondering if someone could help me.
I was doing a test and using this shortcode. I don’t see any interactive transcript however. I checked to make sure the vtt file matched the example. Any ideas what I should try?

Hi Ken,
The Interactive Transcript is only available in Beta mode at this moment. You can switch to Beta in Settings -> FV Player – at the top left corner is a drop down button that can switch between Release and Beta mode. You should be able to use the Interactive Transcript immediately after switching to Beta.

Apologies! When you said it was odd, it got me thinking it could be something else on my end, so I disabled my plugins. It turned out, a plugin called “MyCred” was breaking it. Namely the “Sell Content” add on for Mycred. Once I disabled that, it began working. Although I want to sell content with mycred (it’s a points system) so I’m going to have to look more closely at the settings.

Good to know that it works. And thank you for pointing out the incompatibility with MyCred. We might take a look on it in the future and maybe add it to the list of incompatible plugins.

Yes and thanks for an excellent product. This video player is great. I’m having little hiccups here and there with it, but it’s really amazing- especially for someone that teaches online.
Just to let you know, you can get it to work with MyCred if you disable the “Sell Content” add on. I’m also going to let mycred programmers know

Hello Ken,
turns out that MyCred parses the HTML aggressively and there was some not properly escaped HTML special char in our code.
The fix will be included in next FV Player Pro release.

When I have Mycred with the Sell Content addon turned off, it works perfectly. When it’s on, as you can see, I can see the transcript, but when I type anything in the search, it doesn’t fast forward to it.
I also have been having a bizarre second issue that isn’t related to Mycred. No matter where I assign my logo, it stays in the lower left corner. I’ve cleared cache just to make sure it wasn’t stuck. Any thoughts for things I can try? Thanks!

I’m not sure where’s the problem. I’ve tried your test page and the search doesn’t work, as you said. I’ve made a post on this test site with your YouTube video and the vtt file you are using and it works fine (MyCred is on with active Sell Content add-on). I’ve used this shortcode, if that’s any help:

Great! Thanks for trying it out. It must be another plug-in conflicting with mycred which is conflicting with yours. Hahaha oh how they can daisy-chain into one another. Thank you for trying it out. I’m not sure where the issue lies either comma but I’m sure it’s something external if it works on your side

Hey all! So I went into a very extensive plug in disabling routine. I disabled every plugin except FV Player and Mycred. It still was acting up. I’m not sure if there’s some sort of mycred setting that is interfering, but whenever I have sell content addon selected within Mycred, it disables my ability to search. I even disabled all the other add ons but the same issue.
I changed themes just to be sure (to 2014) but still the same issue. It’s just something about that Sell Content addon within mycred! I’m not sure what it is…hmmmm!
