Hello, I am inquiring as to whether its possible to link to a specific video in a playlist. I’ve attached a screenshot to show how our site is currently set up. On Page 1, we have a list of episodes that link to Page 2 with the playlist shortcode. To have the episode that was click start playing we have it at the top of the playlist. We were wondering if there was a way to link to a specific video in a playlist. That way the episodes will remain in order but the episode that was selected on the previous page will play.

Hi Michael,
FV Player has a feature called video links. With it you can create a link not only to a specific video in a playlist, but also to a specific time in that video. You can read more about it in this guide – Creating Video Links in FV Player.

Thanks Eduard, upon reviewing this functionality, it looks like we may need something a bit different. Ideally, we would like a parameter in the shortcode that would specify which video plays in the playlist without having to change the order of the playlist in the shortcode. Is this possible?

We are currently discussing adding a shortcode parameter that will allow users to select which video in the playlist will be shown as in the video box without breaking the order of the list. Would that be a sufficient solution for you?

Yes, it is still on the top of the list. This week we will be releasing our big update – FV Player 7, which will bring many improvements to playlists and security and then we will catch up on smaller updates.
