Did it! Thought to mention for others: Simply find the YouTube live stream broadcast URL (Hint: the normal channel URL with “/live” appended to the end), click “Share” below the video, then click “embed,” then copy the stated URL to your player application. Hope this helps :)

Thanks Gregory for sharing this tip which got it working for me also. I couldn’t find it in the documentation. Maybe, I missed it but it’s well worth adding to the documentation.
