When the video is not the right size the *SPLASH* image stays in the background watermarked.. when the player is pressed played the splash image should automatically turn black to fix this problem.. this way the video can appear hd

    Hello Mateusz,

thank you for a great suggestion! We will definitely fix this.

We were solving this for playlists, but I don’t think it works that way for single videos. If you set your video to lets say 640x400px and the video is only 640x360px, the splash image will indeed be visible in the stripes above and below the video.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin

I have same problem. I think that the best way is to hide backgound when playing and to sho when is finish.

    What do you think?

    Hello Team FV,

I’ve noticed a small problem in the player with lower-resolution videos (360 & 240) which doesn’t qualify 16:9. When you click the video to play, the ‘splash’ image on top of the video doesn’t disappear, it remains there and can be seen on the right & left sides instead of black bars. Here is an example: http://rehan4testing.site90.com/wpvid/?p=86 It doesn’t occur in IE11 but occurs in GoogleChrome37. Can you please fix this or tell me any solution?

    Hello rehan007,

this should be fixed in next release, could you please check if it also happens with the latest dev version of FV Flowplayer? https://foliovision.com/downloads/fv-wordpress-flowplayer.dev.zip

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Thanks Martin,

This .dev update solved this problem. Can I please know when this will be made public?

    Martin 11 years ago

    Hello rehan007,

we will release it no later than on Monday.

In the meantime the workaround is to make sure the player aspect ratio matches the video aspect ratio. Or you can just install the dev version if you don’t have too many websites to maintain.

    Thanks,
    Martin
