filezilla pro and s3 oceanspaces 5mb upload limit

[Solved]

I setup FV coconut pro per fv documents. Now I’m trying to upload a 10GB Video file to a s3 source bucket on Digitaloceanspaces.com I have no trouble connecting s3 to oceanspaces and uploading up to 5mb files and any size for downloads. Filezilla Pro doesn’t seem to do multipart uploads at 5mb chunks as I test with a 22mb video file. I see it upload all of it and then the remote directory file entry isn’t written and response is http 400 error for anything over a 5mb file size. I’m following the following doc: https://foliovision.com/player/securing-your-video/encrypt-videos-directly-wordpress which suggests filezilla use. Oceanspaces has a browser based upload limited by 2GB so that doesn’t help me either. Any suggestions? I couldn’t figure out how to login using s3express for windows which claims to do multipart uploads at 5mb chunks. Thanks for your help.

I’ve got a support question into FileZilla in the meantime, but I was able to use S3express to multipart upload using these commands:

    saveauth ACCESS_KEY_ID SECRET_ACCESS_KEY

    setopt -endpoint:nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com -usepathstyle:off -protocol:https -disablecertvalidation:on -verbosity:1 -useV4sign:off

    put c:\Trailer1.mp4 your-source-vids-for-coconut/Trailer1.mp4 -mul

For troubleshooting setopt -verbosity:3 will give you more detail.

    Hello Ron,

I was using Cyberduck for the uploads and it worked for files over 10 GB without issues. I removed mention of Filezilla from our documentation page now.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Dear Martin,
Good to know. Thanks, FYI, S3express worked but was very slow
I just tested FileZilla’s newest version and it works fast transferring files. They had problem with 3.42.0.2 and a user needs to to use FileZilla Pro 3.52.0.4 or higher to do s3 multipart uploads.
