Hi,
How can I enable the Subtitles button for Vimeo Pro videos? I have subtitles enabled in my VimeoPro video, but unable to get the button in the FVFlowplayer to showup, as there is no separate subtitles file in Vimeo.
Thanks.

Hello Ganesh,
we recently realized that our Vimeo integration doesn’t accept VTT subtitles, so now we are working hard on improving this.
I see you are interested in using the subtitles added to the video on Vimeo directly. That is a bit different issue, but we will look into it as soon as we finish our Vimeo improvements.
Thanks,
Martin
Hello Ganesh,
in our Vimeo account I can see the subtitles are added somewhere in the video properties. The have a big FAQ about it here: https://vimeo.com/help/faq/managing-your-videos/captions-and-subtitles The advantage is that it accepts the same VTT subtitles as used by HTML5.
We have a first versions of the new Vimeo integration running on one of our websites. We need to do a couple of improvements for the Custom Video Ads and it will be ready for release.
Thanks,
Martin
Hi,
After the update, the Vimeo videos stopped playing. Please let me know how to resolve.
Thanks.
Hello Ganesh,
I opened your site and I can see JavaScript error on it which is related to JS file. We recently published a guide about how to troubleshoot issues like this effectively: https://foliovision.com/troubleshooting-javascript-errors
In your case I know where the issue is I have seen a similar error recently – it’s the wp-content/themes/invent/js/main.js script which contains jQuery selectors like this:
‘a[href*=#]’
However it should be
‘a[href*=”#”]’
You can see the correct syntax explained here: https://api.jquery.com/attribute-contains-selector/
So the issue doesn’t appear to be connected to FV Player nor FV Player Pro. Have you also upgraded some other plugins or WordPress?
I’ll check how we can make our plugin more resilient to fatal JavaScript errors like this.
Thanks,
Martin
