Email, which currently says, “Check the amazing video here: ”
And, I would like to modify the tweet.
Regarding tweet, is there a way to make the link a tinyurl or something shorter?

as this point the “Check the amazing video here:” part can be adjusted with fv_player_sharing_mail_content WordPress filter hook, but I see it could be a setting.
Regarding using tinyurl or similar service – do you have some plugin which we could just hook into our plugin? I think most of these services require API key to generate the shortened links reliably, so it’s not that easy.

Hi Martin,
I’m not interested into trying to build URL shortener. Twitter automatically URL shortens these days and there’s huge security issues with shortened links so they are bad practice in this day and age. Tracking code at the end makes more sense.
We could add a preferences box for Sharing Options for pro users (or also for free for that matter) to change the default text in one easy place. Most people wouldn’t need to open it up but it would be there for them.
Global options only though.

So can you please point me in the right direction. I have no idea how to do this although I have a theme that allows me to easily manipulate hooks. I just don’t know how to tell it to change that text. thanks.

you were asking when this will be ready in an email – you can actually test this new feature before it gets released for public. Just reinstall the FV Player plugin from this ZIP file: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/task-7005550-email-sharing-text.zip
If you are not experienced with ZIP files – first you have to deactivate and delete the FV Player plugin which you are currently using and then install from that ZIP file by using the Add New -> Upload option in wp-admin -> Plugins. No videos or settings will be lost.
Please let us know how it goes. You will find the setting labeled as “Email Sharing Text”.
