Hi,
I upgraded to WordPress 5.0.3 today and find my shortcode of this format:
[fvplayer src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zE7Pwgl6sLA" splash="https://img.youtube.com/vi/zE7Pwgl6sLA/0.jpg" caption="Fevicol Se Full Video Song Dabangg 2 (Official) ★ Kareena Kapoor ★ Salman Khan"]
Is no longer showing my videos in my posts.
I had to add them using the new method and then it works. But only for new posts.
For old posts, the shortcode above seems to work and show the videos.
e.g.
https://www.desiblitz.com/content/the-shendi-and-shalima-culture-of-pakistanI am using the Classic WordPress Editor plugin so not using Gutenberg.
Please investigate as I have team members who use the old method.

Hello Indi,
I was not able to reproduce this issue using WordPress 5.0.3 with Classic Editor plugin installed.
Please post output of Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System Info, perhaps we can find some clue there.

Also, please check if a more simple shortcode like [fvplayer src="1"] will work. Of course it won’t play as “1” is not a video URL, but it’s worth trying to troubleshoot your issue.

Hi,
Today, I added the following shortcode to a draft post
[fvplayer src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDgFmLUOClI" splash="http://img.youtube.com/vi/eDgFmLUOClI/0.jpg" caption="Battlefield 5 | Official Reveal Trailer | PS4"]
And it was showing!….
So, not sure why/how it is working again. But it seems to be.

Hello Indi,
my guess is that there was some non-printable character in your shortcode which was breaking it. You can try pasting it into the Text or HTML editing more of your editor.
WordPress shortcodes are quite sensitive, which is why we moved to a database model.
