Just downloaded the plug-in works great on both iOS 12 phone and iPad tablet. Did notice that when I took an image directly with my iPhone in portrait mode and tried to use it as a splash image it was flipped into landscape mode, wondering if this is a WordPress problem or part of the plug-in problem. If I am embed this image just on my WordPress page it is indeed in the correct orientation – portrait.

Hello Rich,
the rotation of your image is probably based on the EXIF tag. I’m not s sure why CSS background (which we use in FV Player for player splash screen) is ignoring it.
I think this plugin will fix the issue: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fix-image-rotation/
