The update seems to only affect front-end. Whilst checking the stream in the admin playlist the Wowza Streaming Engine live stream is detected as expected and the Quality Selector functions as expected in the stream preview.
Activating and deactivating Pro plugin seems to operate in tandem:
Active – no QSEL on front-end
Disabled – QSEL on front-endI haven’t seen the issue with lower version of plugin.

In order to track the issue we will need your system info. You can find it at:
WP Admin Dashboard -> Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System infoAlso, link to your website with such a problematic live-stream could be really beneficial for us.

The example stream pages – none of the sources are from Wowza Streaming Engine; I’m not sure how this will help.
The 7.4.9 plugin (including PRO) was working as expected; QSEL was in fact available on live streams. Problem started right after plugin update.What is interesting is that the local assets with multiple qualities files seems to be working just fine. I added non-published url for this troubleshooting:

All live streams are not showing QSEL for as long as PRO plugin is “Activated”.

Thanks for all the info! It was really helpful. We would want to know one thing. Do you have enabled quality switching for that HLS stream? If yes, can you try turning that off? This setting is for .mp4 videos only and may somehow block the native HLS quality switching which is detected automatically. If yes, we’ll immediately get that fixed.

Hello Andrew,
thank you for the cooperation. We had a look at it and in the future FV Player Pro version the FV Player Pro Quality Switching won’t break the HLS stream quality switching. Instead it will stay disabled on HLS videos.
