player doesn’t work after updating

    Hi,

    After updating WordPress and FV-player-pro the player gives a warning that javascript is broken.
    I read the article on https://foliovision.com/player/basic-setup/installation#fixing-broken-javascript , but other plugins were not updated yet. Only WP and FV + FV pro.

    I hope you can fix it

    Hello Frank,

    we are sorry to hear you are facing such issues.

    Please, go to Settings -> FV Player Pro and click “Check template”. Is it showing any issues?

    I temporarely solved the problem by putting back the backup.
    So I have the working version.
    It now only shows:
    “It appears there are multiple jQuery libraries on your site, your videos might not be playing or may play with defects, please check.”

    I want to update my plugins and WP but I can’t because FV player doesn’t work properly after updating WP

    Hello Frank,

    I deeply apologize for the late reply.

    It could be a plugin or theme incompatibility. Try switching to some basic WordPress theme, such as Twenty twenty-one (just using the preview mode is enough) and see, if it helps.

    If it doesn’t, you can try disabling various plugins, until you find the one that causes the issues. Alternatively, you can also send us the contents of Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Tools -> System info to see, if there is a plugin known to cause issues with FV Player.

    Hello Frank,

    if you have a staging website, or can upgrade FV Player and then restore the backup again, then please proceed with the upgrade once again.

    Once you see the error please open the browser console (here’s how it’s done: https://foliovision.com/player/troubleshooting/javascript-browser-console) and reload the page. Please let us know what errors appeared on the console.

    The steps posted by Marie would help, but you should still be able to give us enough input by looking at that console.
