FV Player Pro – Problem with Vimeo videos – Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB)

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Bug Reports › FV Player Pro – Problem with Vimeo videos – Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB)

• Jean-Noel G. 4 years ago

I have a website with FV Player Pro integrated with Vimeo videos. It was working properly but since some plugin updates, I get an error while trying to play videos.

It shows on the player (when starting the video) : “html5: Video loading aborted” and in the console, there is the message :

Cross-Origin Read Blocking (CORB) blocked cross-origin response https://vimeo.com/XXXXXXXXXXX with MIME type text/html. See https://www.chromestatus.com/feature/5629709824032768 for more details.

Plugin versions:
FV Player: 7.5.15.727
FV Player Pro: 7.5.14.727

What should I do ?

Hello Jean-Noel,

thank you for reaching out to us!

We have gotten similar reports recently. Could you please provide us with a test page/screenshot of the whole console when the video is loading? Are there any 403 errors connected to FV Player?

Also which browser and OS are you using?

Thanks,
Maria

Hi Maria.

Thanks for your quick reply. I can provide you a test page and some more detailed information by email (not to share those on the forum as it is restricted content).

No 403. Just the call to https://vimeo.com/<videoId> that gets intercepted by chrome with a CORB error.

Browser:
Brave 1.34.81 Chromium: 97.0.4692.99 (Build officiel) (64 bits)
OS:
Windows 10 Version 21H2 (Build 19044.1466)
JavaScript:
V8 9.7.106.19

You can contact me at (redacted) and I can email you a link to test page.
Best regards
JN

Hello Jean-Noel,

I am getting these CORB warnings from Vimeo too, which while problematic and most probably caused by the very same thing, they cannot break playback.

You can send us the information to support@foliovision.com or you can just write it here. User replies have to first be moderated by us before posting publicly. I can redact any information you wish to not display, just like I redacted your e-mail address in your previous reply.

Thanks,
Maria
