How can you enable linking to another post? My link dialog is the basic FCK Editor dialog.

Thank you Alec for the reply. My client was actually looking for a selector to select from existing posts rather then copy and paste the link. On your blog post in 2011 you had this feature, but it looks like it has been disabled. Here is the post I am referring to: https://foliovision.com/2011/06/foliopress-wysiwyg-impact-templates-featured-image . Check out the first image, and you will see what I am talking about.
Sincerely,
Johnathan
Thanks Alec. I think you all should add it back. The default WYSIWYG for WordPress provides this feature automatically. Doing the copy and paste method can be very cumbersome, especially when you have over 3000 posts like my client. :( Thanks for your help. I greatly appreciate it. Take care.
Johnathan
Hi Johnathan,
I’ve investigated further what happened to this feature.
When you hit the insert link button in default WordPress editor, you get a dialog window where you can search all of your posts and put in a link to post that way.
But then WordPress changed how this works – they no longer use iframe for this dialog, but a JavaScript dialog. That makes it hard for us to integrate it. So we decided to keep the default FCKEditor dialog and not go too deep into re-creating/fixing it. That was about 1.5 years ago.
Our recommended workaround is to search for the post using the standard WordPress search (either on-site or in wp-admin) and then copy-paste the link.
If implementing the built-in search is very important to your client, a $100 donation would allow me to allocate resources to adding it back.
Making the web work for you, Alec
