Can’t get Foliopress’ image manager to work

Foliovision › Forums › Foliopress WYSIWYG › Installation › Can’t get Foliopress’ image manager to work

  • jhercog 14 years, 4 months ago

    Hi everybody@foliovision

As the title says I just can’t get it to work and I can’t figure why. When i click on Quick Insert Image button, new window pops out but empty. I usually have to wait a little for the manager to load but this time nothing happens. My server meets the standards, I have installed latest version of wordpress (3.21), disabled all plugins except Foliopress, played with permissions, media path configurations, made fresh install on subdomain just to test the plugin but to no avail.

    Error log reports this message:

    Maybe an incompatibility with 3.21.
I should also mention that I checked the plugin on my other wordpress instalations on different servers and it spits out error messages but with no problem with image manager window.
Otherwise, you are doing an amazing job with this plugin and i’m really looking forward to see the solution to this issue.

    Thx,
    J.

    Hello Jelenko,

thank you very much for a nice bug report.

It looks like some of the PHP warnings might be damaging the JavaScript code present in the window. We check our error logs on our sites to make sure our plugins are not filling them with errors, but we haven’t seen these before.

Could you try to save the plugin options in WP Admin -> Settings -> Foliopress WYSIWYG to see if it works afterwards? The options are initialized properly together with the plugin, but there might be a glitch in that.

We will test your issues and see if we can get to the same error. We also prepare some performance tweaks for the new version.

    Thank you,
    Martin

    Wow, that was quick :)

I’ve tryed your suggestions but unfortunately with no effects. The thing that makes me insane is that it works on other servers in almost identical environment.
Well, I guess I’ll have to wait for the next release and keep my eye on the thread in case anybody find a solution.

Anyway, thanks for your answer and keep up the good work.

    Hello Jelenko,

I checked out your issues. You probably have the WordPress debuging turned on. Read more about it here:
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Debug

I also cleaned up the plugin code, so there warnings should not show up anymore.

New version – 0.9.20 is out.

    Thanks,
    Martin
