I do not have the add link option on my page

I added [wp_link_robot_genlinks] to my page through the tool menu, and the link shows on my page but there is no place for a user to submit a link. I set it up with the instructions however I am not sure what i put as the “directory link”. i used the example given of SEO Directory, but not sure if this is correct. Either way the link says error when i test it yet it does go to the page. I want visitors to be able to add links to my page.
