    Hi Juraj,

Thanks for getting back to me.
Yeah most browsers seem to have native support for it by now.
So it is ‘only’ a question of making it triggerable from the Foliovision player.

As for custom development. I think this would make for a great option for everyone who uses Foliovision. And it is a nice to have … not a must have for us specific. For that reason im going to go with slow and for everyone instead of paid and exclusive.

That is not to deny you guys anything as for every website at my day to day job I will always push you guys if something video related is required.

Hope it is still something you can look into in the near future.

    Best regards,
    Patrick Dankers

    Hi again,

    Yes and no.
Yes I mean the function you described.
But No not the sticky feature (we are already using that).

Why is this Picture in Picture different? Because Picture in Picture lives outside of the scope of the current window.

So for example say you start Picture in Picture mode as you did in the example screenshot. If you then move to another browser tab or application the video will still be there as it is playing picture in picture style (not sticky style). See the attachment for an example of what I mean.

I think it would be cool addition to be able to go beyond sticky and use picture in picture in Foliovision, especially as Youtube does offer that support in various browsers.

Hope that helps to clarify why it is different ;)

    Best regards,
    Patrick Dankers

    Hi Juraj,

Hmm that must have been Firefox specific then I guess.

If I do two right clicks on the videos in both Chrome / Firefox / Safari you can actually trigger Picture in Picture mode for all of them

Not sure if that is something that can be trigger in somway with Foliovision.

Thanks again for looking into this!

    Best regards,

    Hi guys,

I thought I would check in on this request. Sadly both my comments are still awaiting moderation nor have I heard anything back.

Is this something you will look into in the future?

    Kind regards,
    Patrick

You asked me for something that had the draggable video player as a feature. I today noticed that Whatsapp’s Picture in Picture preview video player offers that :)

NVM above, it seems it was some weird stubborn local browser cache in the end. Sorry for that!

    Hi Martin,

Ah cool I did not know about that option.
    Will dive into it.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for following this up.

Video players specific no. But it would be a really awesome thing to be able to do. People on our end have gone … cool new player love the sticky option but would love a draggable option even more.

So that is why I reached out.

But I would go with something simple like; https://jsfiddle.net/tovic/Xcb8d/ the cursor there makes it moveable in all directions and that in general enough.

What would be cool is if it could be a control bar option which you can toggle on / off. That way you can maintain the sticky aspect and enable drag and drop in a nice way :)

And just use an icon like; https://cdn1.iconfinder.com/data/icons/interface-4/96/Cursor-Move-512.png

    As for the closing; Three scenarios;

1] video end; the video should then close itself (I noticed that that is not default behavior at this time (correct me if I am wrong)
I do get it when you run ads and so on but if you onyly have a video it should close the player on end in my opinion.
2] If the user clicks the close button. The basic close so to speak.
3] the suggested draggable icon in the controlbar

If I can help you in any other way feel free to let me know.

    Kind regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Lucia,

Thanks for getting back to me.
Cool, no rush no rush. You are busy on other things I get that.
But in the long run it will help with satisfying people about placement.

Yeah consider the review a thing I will do later today :)

    Keep up the awesome job!

    Kind regards,
    Patrick Dankers
