Thank you, Martin. The changes are excellent and will make a big difference for keyboard-only users.
A couple of points I noticed:
-
When tabbing past the Autoscroll control in the transcript window, Autoscroll checkbox is turned to the off state without user intervention. The checkbox should only be turned on or off by the user, not just by tabbing past it. However the text continues to scroll with the checkbox off.
-
The closed caption language selection control, quality control and speed controls are skipped when tabbing through and do not appear to be accessible by keyboard only. Is there another way to access these controls by keyboard?
Sincere thanks for all you do.
Kind Regards
MichaelThank you for your response.
I think the first approach is better, as the visitor can use the keyboard shortcuts to control the video once focus is achieved,
Also, it would be better if they just want to tab down the page and skip over the videos to get read text after it rather than having to tab through each video player control element (which would be tedious).
Certainly, in my case, I have multiple videos, either single videos or in a playlist on a page, so again, the first approach would be better – achieving focus on each video’s main element.
Thank you for your consideration.
Michael
