I uploaded videos on vimeo shortly, and I saw that it is not loading as dash, but with a link similar to this: src=”https://fpdl.vimeocdn.com/vimeo-prod-skyfire-std-us/01/2004/9/235024398/835423399.mp4?token=1507666571-0x547d71a8eb671b2f0042ffd120e1fbbbbad5adda#-fullhd” – but the old videos I posted on my course platform are normal: blob:https://cursos.projetodiario.net.br/0f8d38b7-343d-4b3e-a83b-fc011857de84. I wonder what this may be happening. I also received some complaints about html 5 error video not found. Hi Sergio,
We tested the two videos and actually got Dash streaming for both. Is it possible that you watched one of them before activating the MPEG-Dash option in plugin’s settings? The information could have been cached.
The thing about Vimeo is that it doesn’t offer Dash streaming for some older videos, so it would be unusual if it was the other way around.
Therefore, could you please check if you are still getting the same results?Thanks,

Is it possible to use the quality change option with dash?

Yes, quality switching should work with MPEG-Dash. I checked both of your videos again and got the Dash playback, so I’m not sure what is the issue here. You could turn on the manual quality switching again so I could test it once more.

I activated the change of quality but it is not throwing more dash.
I’m using google chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official version) 64 bits and mozilla
I marked the option to change quality, you can verify that for me it is still showing without dash

I’m still getting an MPEG-Dash stream in the example post you sent. I actually got this manifest https://foliovision.com/site/wp-content/cache/fv-player-mpd/1/manifest-193073123-1508244399.mpd.
I’m still not sure what the issue is here. You said that some of your users had some error reports. Do you know on which videos?

I do not know how I can understand this properly. Because I do not have enough knowledge to analyze the video in more detail.
What I come to question you is related to the link that is played when you click with the right mouse button, because when selecting the link and paste in another tab of google chrome I can easily download it. For me this link of the vimeo is appearing in all the videos that are in my platform when adding the option of exchange of video quality. And when removing the option to exchange the video back to the desired link that is the blob: https://cursos.projetodiario.net.br/ 0f8d38b7-343d-4b3e-a83b-fc011857de84. My question is if I can leave this same link and the quality swap buttons. Why I still can download the videos when it is enabled the quality change.
Hello Sergio,
I found that when there is a Vimeo video which is not available in MPEG-DASH format and user switches the quality, it then affects loading of other videos with are available in DASH format to use that same quality MP4 file, rather than use DASH.
This has been fixed and FV Player Pro 0.8.39 has been released.
We are also working on a special option which will prevent the MP4 files from being used for Vimeo altogether to make it harder to download the videos.
