Player not clickable with (popular) Chrome extension "Disable HTML5 autoplay"

Hello,

People increasingly disable autoplay (and Flash) by default, for example with Chrome extension “Disable HTML5 autoplay”

In that case, clicking on the video image in a WordPress post (shortcode) doesn’t launch the self-hosted video (even clicking several times).

(whatever the FV setting for autoplay, and same thing in lightbox)

Hi Michel,

Thank you for reporting this bug. I just tested it and you are right, the extension freezes the player and the video can’t be played anymore.

We’ll do some more testing and let you know what could be done about this.

Hello Michael,

FV Player 7 will handle this properly and play the video once clicked. We wanted to make the beta version available for public this week, but then we figured out we need to make the installation and rollback even more simple than we originally thought, so it will have to wait until January 2018.
