FV Player wont go full screen on a playstation 4 console

Hi There,

I am a big fan of your player but have come to realise that it will not go full screen on the browser on a playstation 4. Is this something that can be fixed? Thanks in advance.

Hi Luke,

We (unfortunately) don’t have a PS4 in our office to test it. However, it seems that the problem is in the Flowplayer engine, on which FV Player is built upon. According to this thread, you are not the only one who is experiencing this issue, so it will hopefully be resolved soon, so we can implement the changes into our own player.

Wondering, do we have a time frame for this? I see an update released very recently but doesn’t suggest this fix?

Hi Luke,

We, unfortunately, lack resources and time to deal with this issue right now. There is no reliable emulator of PS4 that we could use for testing and even having a live console wouldn’t do much help because it’s hard to use it for debugging. For now, we can only rely on the Flowplayer team to make progress with this. You can track their work in this thread on GitHub.
