I can’t find a topic for this feature and it’s a bit weird.
Does fv player have the feature of jumping xx seconds backward or forward with a click?
If not… is it on a roadmap?

Hello Arthur,
On mobile devices it’s not easy to go back a bit if you miss some scene, so we talked about adding a tap areas on top of video to go 10 seconds back and forth on these mobile devices. On desktop devices it’s not such a problem, specially as you can use the arrow keys.
JW Player has a button to go 10 seconds back.
Do you know any other player which uses this so that we can check it?
Thanks,
Martin
Two other player that I’ve found which have this feature:
– https://simplepodcastpress.com/#demo (this one appears to be broken, but you can see how the have implemented it from the design standpoint); I’ve sent an email to the dev about not working demo.
I’ve checked about 10 most popular audio and podcast players and only these two have this feater.
I actually don’t understand why it’s so rare. It is super usefull for all podcasts and it is absolutely crutial for blind people.
Your player would stand out if it had this feature and I am ready to pay more to get this.
Thank you for considering.
Hello Artur,
I see that these are audio players which have a lot more room for these buttons.
Recently we added a prev/next playlist item button. That takes up some extra space too. I see that JW Player uses some kind of hybrid approach – they have to “10 seconds back” button alongside the next playlist item button. That allows you to go ahead in playlist and still go back a bit if you miss something in a video.
I will have to check this with Alec.
Thanks,
Martin
