Vimeo – access token check added

Not really a problem.

I was wondering what this is. It was in the changelog for the recent release.

I am using Vimeo and was wondering if there was something I need to turn on or configure? and what it means?

I just submitted my last question based on the changelog. I can’t edit or respond to it because it is still in moderation.

After installing the update I now get the error: FV Player Pro: Your Vimeo access token appears to be invalid: ‘Vimeo key check failed’ (settings)

This was working before. What do I do now?

Hello cruiserparts,

please check if your videos are playing.

Please check if inserting a new video from Vimeo will automatically fetch its splash screen (check how the video appears in the post when you open it for viewing).

If both things work, then there is nothing to worry about, but we will have to improve the key check as it certainly should not show false alarms. Perhaps you web host is blocking the Vimeo API call?

Hello cruiserparts,

also, please check if you are really using a OAuth2 token and not just OAuth. You can dig that information by looking at your apps at https://developer.vimeo.com/apps and checking which token you are using and if it’s in the OAuth or OAuth 2 tab.
