Hi guys,
I’m facing a little problem with your player.
My need is to publish my video in different resolution and I easily achive that with quality switch, but quality switch settings are at site level as global settings for all videos I publish.
Is there a way to publish video A with 3 rendition (let me say 1080, 720 and 360) and video with only 2 at 720 and 360?If I set 3 rendition in quality settings with _1080 _720 _360, when I play video B I see 1080 choice box for quality, but if I click on it I get an error (of course!) because the video doesn’t exist.
Can I set file path and quality setting for each video I publish? or avoid error if one resolution doesn’t exist?

Hello Alessandro,
thank you for the bug report!
For start we will make sure switching quality to a quality version which doesn’t exist won’t break the playback.
Hopefully we will be able to do this. I’m not sure about iOS devices.

these are the results of my test.
– if I use the standard release and I set 3 quality levels for qsel, but I have only 2 files, video doesn’t play at all!
– if I use the beta release and I set 3 quality levels for qsel, but I have only 2 files, I can play video, switch between 2 existing quality, but if I choose the third quality with no existing file, video stop definitively and I can’t come back anymore.I think this is an important point to fix, because I have more videos with different renditions to publish (and not only me), but I can choose only a qsel schema for all of them, so I”l have some video qorking and some other not.

I’ve created this demo for you. The second video is missing the Mobile quality file. If you switch to Mobile, nothing really happens, the playback continues in one of the available qualities. However, keep in mind that this wont work if you are missing the file that is actually in the shortcode (in fvplayer src=”).
