In the attached screengrab, you can see what happens when I have consecutive lightbox shortcodes on a single line. There is plenty room for them to appear side-by-side. Please solve this critical problem for me: I need them to be on one line.

If I understand correctly, you want the lightbox videos in one row? If so, you could probably set them in a table. For example:
