how to start download the video as soon a user click on a page with video

sometimes the player take long time to play, is there any way to preload the video or start the download as soon a user click on a post with a video

Hello Freddie,

thank you for the question.

There is a setting to ensure that videos are being buffered before playback starts. Please, make sure you have the Settings -> FV Player -> Sitewide Fv Player Defaults -> Auto Buffering setting enabled.

Other than that, loading speed most often depends on your hosting and serving solutions, as well as the internet speed of the viewer.

Where are you hosting your videos? Are you using a CDN to go along with it?

Hello Freddie,

actually our Auto Buffering option was disabled for a while.

Now we are testing how it really works. Ideally it wouldn’t preload the whole video, but just a part of it.

Please let us know what video type you are using (MP4, HLS, Vimeo, YouTube …).
