Encrypted HLS setup issues

Hello,

I actually want encrypted HLS stream.

So as in point number 9 of this blog i selected
Key storage policy = no store
ckecked (auto generate encryption key)

but in the License Acquisition URL the way i should provide the url is
https://your-site.com/?fv_player_hls_key={Output Key Prefix from step 6. without the trailing slash}

now is this the api call in my server like get request
if yes then what should the ai will return in response. ?

Hello Rasta,

FV Player Pro handles the ?fv_player_hls_key= for you. You just need to make sure you use the Output Key Prefix in it.

I see, in the guide it says it’s step 6., but it’s actually step 7. We will fix it.

Thanks for giving your precious time for looking into my problem.
If i use “no store and License Acquisition URL” it doesn’t create any decrypt key which i am suppose to store externally in my own server and give the absolute path in the License Acquisition URL.

Hello rasta,

We had a problem on our side – the previous version of FV Player Pro was missing the “Amazon AWS Decoder (Pro)” box which should be visible in the beta mode in Settings > FV Player Pro > Hosting.

If you follow our guide How to setup an HLS stream with Amazon Elastic Transcoder from step 12, you should be able to fill in the Access Key ID and then use the Encryption Key from Outputs > Output Key in AWS and Decrypt it in the shortcode editor.
