[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › How to … › Amazon s3

I have configured all detailes on Amazon S3 Protected contect (Bucket, AccessKey and Secret Key). What do I insert in the shortcode src=””? Does it have to be full url from s3 Amazon or just name of the video which is in the bucket? Couldn’t find the solution in docs.

    Hi!

In the shortcode you need to insert full URL from Amazon S3.

    Here is an example:

    ‘[flowplayer src="https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/my-uploaded-video"]‘

It is also mentioned in our documentation – step 10 and 14: https://foliovision.com/player/secure-amazon-s3-guide#upload.
We will try to make it more clear.

    Hi,
    That doesn’t works for me.
I’ve got an error: File not found (HTTP 404)! unable to determine file format

    I’ve sent report to you.

I did just that, but unable to view the video. I believe I took all steps needed :
    1) Enter the access key and secret key at WP Flow player settings;
    2) I uploaded the video at S3 bucket. 3) Copy the full URL and pasted.
    I am at lost!

    Hi!

Most probably your mp4 videos on Amazon S3 do not have the proper MIME types, also known as content-types, you will have to edit them to watch these videos.

Where to check if MIME type of my video is set up properly?

Your amazon S3 bucket > chosen video > properties > metadata. It should include values: KEY: content-type; VALUE: video/mp4 and NOT application/octet-stream.

You can follow our documentation to fix this issue:

    Hi,

Amazon says: “For your applications to continue running on Amazon S3, your end users need
to access S3 from clients configured to use TLS. As any necessary changes
would need to be made in your application, we recommend that you review
your applications that are accessing the specified S3 buckets to determine
    what changes may be required.”

is it any problem with the src?

    Thanks

    Hello Eduardo,

this should not affect the video serving via HTTP or HTTPS.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Eduardo,

TLS is required for uploading and managing videos, not for serving them via http/https.

    Thanks.

    Hi Alec,

ok, thanks, so maybe they told us it because our browser must be disabled sslv3? So we must disable it with it for example: disablessl3.com?

    Thanks

    Hi Eduardo,

You are on the right track now. It’s not an FV Player issue but a security certificate issue. We’re dealing with it as well on our own web properties.
