Hello and thanks for your great player !
I have found with the Chapters option a great use for what I want to do with loops & my music lessons..
My problem is that I need to know the exact play position timing…
Is it possible for instance to log in the console not just the minute and second, but the exact timing/frame?
For instance I put on my page a Div class=”logTiming” on my page and when I click pn it with some javascript it console.log the complete time/frame ?
it’s just for me to get the most accurate timing for the loops I want to make…Thanks for your help !

Sadly, I don’t think we currently have any solution for exact frame positioning. I’ll discuss it with our Senior programmer Martin on Monday and I’ll get in touch with you with more information.

Hello thanks for your answer, in fact when debug mode is “on” you already log the exact timing when the player is looping :) look here:
I should just know wich (jquery ?) function to use to get the same info so I can assign it to some div and get the info of the cursor when I want or when it’s on pause…

Oh sorry. I thought you mean a complete exact timing feature. Yes we log the ab loop exact time.

is the JavaScript console output not enough?
are you creating that VTT chapters file based on the loop points which you get using the FV Player Pro AB loop feature? Please let us know, perhaps we can improve your workflow by letting you add these chapters in the FV Player Editor without need for any VTT file.

Hello, yeah currently it’s a litlle bit complicated, I make the chapters manually slowing down the playback and checking the loop.. I try a lot of times to get something correct, because I can’t move the loop point exactly… In fact the best would be to enter manually the loops point timing in a form to try to have the best result…
What you propose could be awesome what do you mean maybe having a control in the admin ? It could be great ! by the way I have a problem with the preview in the FV Player admin it won’t show up at all…

to get the exact time of the video which is playing you can run the following on the browser JavaScript console:
flowplayer('.is-ready').video.timeI see that there is no easy way for you to move the loop point back and forth, you can only drag it with mouse and that is not precise enough.
Adding some additional buttons to move the loop buttons in some small increments might end up in a really complex user interface though.
I have seen some cases where the FV Player Editor preview wouldn’t work too. We will get it improved.
