Here from the spaces region available in my account. it seems the San Francisco region 2 is not available. Should i not be able to choose the region? I live in India which is nearest to Singapore, so wont that be the best choice for my location?

    Hello Remruata,

The regions get picked when a space is being created. FV Player Coconut automatically creates the spaces and usually assigns them to ams3 (Amsterdam) region.

I see that you have sent us a screenshot of the Create Spaces screen. You do not need to do that. All you need to do, is head over to the API section of the main menu and create a set of access API keys. FV Player Coconut will handle the rest. As pictured in the screenshot in the Wizard, and in the guide:https://foliovision.com/player/securing-your-video/encrypted-hls-coconut#coconut-step-two

    Hi,
I think you dont understand my question. I used the fv player coconut and in the digital ocean setup process, after i entered the Api keys, the wizard picked San Francisco 2 (sfo2) automatically which is not available for my account as shown in the screenshot, which thus generated the error i posted above.

Is there a way to let the wizard choose another region? or can we manually create the spaces and bypass the wizard? I have talked to them and they said that sfo2 will not be available for new users anytime soon.

    Hello Remruata,

sorry for the misunderstanding. This should not be happening, I will forward this to our development team.

We have migrated most of the settings from FV Player settings to the add-on which is now purely in the Wizard form. We should probably make the settings accessible prior to the Wizard setup so that such issues could be manually overridden.

You can try creating your own space and putting the information to FV Player Pro -> Hosting -> DigitalOcean Spaces. FV Player Coconut should then recognize it and have the step pre-filled.

    Thanks,
    Maria

    Hello Remruata,

we have re-enabled the use of Singapore data center for DigitalOcean Spaces. It should pick it for you if it’s closest to your server.

To be able to use please reinstall FV Player Coconut from a fresh ZIP file which you obtain from https://foliovision.com/my-licenses

To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player Coconut plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.

    Thanks,
    Martin
