Hi,
I was wondering if your VAST plugin is compatible with AMP? FV Player Pro clearly works with AMP, however, is the same true for the VAST implementation? For someone who gets 70% of traffic on AMP pages, this is a crucial requirement.

FV Player VAST doesn’t support AMP, but looking at that page of documentation it seems to me we could add this feature. I’ll have to check it with Alec first though.

please let us know what video types you are using. The AMP video player is pretty limitted, are you just posting videos as MP4?

AMP is a Google standard so they are very fussy about what advertising they let through. If it’s possible to add AMP to our VAST we’ll do it.
Do you have some examples for us of other VAST plugins or CMS which do work within AMP?
While I do not have examples of a CMS or plugin which works with AMP+VAST, this advertising company – https://vi.ai – uses VAST ads within their own videos embedded on AMP pages.

As for the type of advertising Google will let through, I’m sure they will allow their own video ads to run on AMP, through the AdX platform. We’ll be running Google’s AdX VAST ads.

FV Player already uses the
<amp-video>
tag for the AMP integration, seems to be it would be relatively simple to just replace it with
<amp-ima-video>
tag.

Hello Pranav,
please grab a new copy of FV Player VAST from https://foliovision.com/my-licenses and install that. Then in Settings -> FV Player VAST you will be able to enable “AMP support”.
That should get the VAST ads running in AMP for you.
