Player broken when using Adblock Plus

Hi

We wanted to setup VAST on our website. As many Germans use Adblockers. We thought might be ok to use VAST as well with your player.

Unfortunaly Adblocker does block your whole videos ;-(

Any suggestions

We uses adblocker plus from chrome apps tested on https://foliovision.com/player/vast

Hi Frank,

Thanks for writing.

You’re right, we need to make sure that we move on to the next video (i.e. the main video) in case of adblocking.

Alternatively we could send a message “Turn off your adblocker to view the video” but that would probably be too much for your users for example.

We’d probably have to turn off VAST when we detect an adblocker.

Hello Frank,

we just released FV Player VAST 0.4.4 which fixes this issue. If the VAST JavaScript fails, it continues playing the actual video and won’t break. You can check this on https://foliovision.com/player/demos/vast-ads
