That was finally the key. I didn’t realize that it had to be entered into the visual panel – I was in the textual window when I was trying to click on the fvplayer button. Also, I was using the plain call instead of [fvplayer src= ] So, thanks so much! It looks so much better without Chrome’s ugly control bar! Now to get it the right size for devices…
Thanks!8 years ago in reply to: Remove Google Chrome video download buttonI remember now that the problem was that I’m inserting the video into a text module in a template (Divi), and couldn’t get that to work. When I click on the fv player button and the user interface opens, nothing will save from there. I had to input everything manually (the size) into the code.
Changing options works in the plugin settings, but I can’t change anything or add videos using the insert button like I would on a normal post. That’s okay, though. I’ll make a splash screen and designate it there and, hopefully, will be good to go now.
Thank you!
8 years ago in reply to: Remove Google Chrome video download buttonCan I use the normal player to insert an mp4 hosted on my server? I couldn’t get that to work; I only saw how to do Vimeo, YouTube, etc.
8 years ago in reply to: Remove Google Chrome video download buttonGetting closer…
Now, I just don’t have the featured image displayed before the video is playing. The video displays just a black box, with the play arrow in the circle, cross-browser.
I do have the “Add featured image automatically:
If the featured image is not set, splash image of the first player will be used.” box checked.Thank you SO much!!
8 years ago in reply to: Remove Google Chrome video download buttonNo, it’s not working in Chrome at all. I am using
<div id=”video-wrap”>

</div>
to insert the video. Could that cause a problem only in Chrome?
Thank you!
8 years ago in reply to: Remove Google Chrome video download buttonYou are correct. I checked and that is what is happening. Unfortunately, my client is not having it load correctly either, of course. Do you know why it would load on everything except Chrome?
I’m trying to play a mp4 that has been uploaded to the server. It plays successfully everywhere and everything else works great, it’s just that that Chrome control bar shows up.
Thanks so much for your help!
Stacey8 years ago in reply to: Remove Google Chrome video download buttonI’m still having the download button show up on the lower toolbar in Chrome. I’m using FV Player Version 6.0.5.23. Any advice? It is gone in Firefox, Edge, IE, etc.
