OK, the pro plugin needed to be updated also. It’s working now, thanks.
One more thing – can you please make the “This ad will end in n seconds | Skip ad” string translatable using WP’s built-in functions like __(), _e(), etc. I see it’s hardcoded in a JS file. You should be able to easily do that using the wp_localize_script() function. Codex has an example of usage. You should probably include it into the free plugin since the pro one doesn’t seem to load a textdomain.

I am sorry to say we are unable to get video ads working in a lightbox using that fix-video-ads-lightbox.zip version. We only tested a youtube video ad, if that is relevant. What we tried is adding a video into a post’s content, also adding a widget (which is ultimately what we need), a single video and a playlist – same outcome which is main video plays right off without a pre-roll.
