    The video transcript feature stopped working without any updates to any plugins. Reverting to an older backup didn’t help either. I did get an error message in firefox however.

    XML Parsing Error: syntax error
    Location: https://example.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/example.vtt
    Line Number 1, Column 1:

    Would you perhaps have any idea what the issue may be?

    Do you experience this issue only in Firefox or all browsers?

    Does this issue occur with all transcripts or only the latest?

    The issue is appearing on all browsers, but the error message was only shown in Firefox.

    It also happens on all videos, including ones uploaded in the past.

    We also don’t know exactly when the issue occurred, but it was probably in the past few weeks.

    Hello Jeongseung,

    when I first saw this topic I thought there might be some issue with how we load the transcript from Vimeo. But it appears you are uploading these VTT files to your website directly.

    Please install the Log HTTP Requests plugin, then try to post some new video with a new VTT file which you upload and see if it will work.

    Then check wp-admin -> Tools -> Log HTTP Requests – you should see the request to load that VTT file running from our plugin. Does it show the proper content there or is there any error?

    Perhaps your server started to block itself from accessing these files.

    This is the response I’m getting after uploading a VTT file. I didn’t find any additional http logs after putting them on an FVplayer video as a transcript.

    The SSL on the site itself seems fine. Could it be an issue with Cloudlfare?
