Hello,
I’m having trouble getting the video thumbnail to appear in a truly responsive way. When I make my browser window more narrow it appears the height of the thumbnail doesn’t change, it crops off the edges. When the video plays at this size it appears with big black bars above and below. I’ve tried inserting different size settings within the shortcode, and within the defaults on the settings page.
The code I used in my WordPress page is
“[fvplayer src="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDrZ15QCaBU" width="500" height="280"]”And this is how it appears in a narrow window (with setting shown beside):

Hello Peter,
seems like you are using FV WordPress Flowplayer without license, so you are getting only the basic YouTube embedding using iframe. I see we should improve it to be more responsive, various themes do that using FitVids script.
