Hello!
We’ve upgraded the player (licensed player), and our partners use our videos with iframe embeddind.
But now it stopped working. In the embed window is empty (but it get the embed code). Here are an example:
Original site: http://www.hungary-live.com/kapolcs/ (it’s a live festival)
If we paste the embed code, it’s not working, for example in this page: https://www.muveszetekvolgye.hu/ (in the middle) (It has worked some days ago)
If we open just the embed links this before, it worked too: http://www.hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp4/Till now we have no problem with the WP and FV updates.
Thanks for your help!
Janos

Hello Janos,
http://www.hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp4/ works for us.
The problem is that the https://www.muveszetekvolgye.hu/ runs on https:// but http://www.hungary-live.com/ does not: https://www.hungary-live.com/
Was the http://www.muveszetekvolgye.hu site switched from http:// to https:// recently? You should be checking the linked images, iframes and scripts and making sure they can be loaded using https:// before making the switch
Thanks,
MartinHello Martin!
Thanks for your reply!
Now we restore our whole website from a backup, and now it uses the 6.0.5.3 this is the rason. ;) We have problem with the new version. Now working the iframe, but now i’m not brave enough to upgrade it ot 6.0.5.5. again…
But we will try it out with an other page, becuse our site have works in 7/24.
I’ll write if we test the 6.0.5.5 again in other sites. Not possible to download the older versions? For example in this case that should be much easier. (maybe the problem not with your plugin, just maybe a conflict with another plugins)Two more things: we can’t see the play/pause icon, and the volume icon on the taskbar, do you know what might be the reason?
The second question: on the http://www.muveszetekvolgye.hu/
In this iframe embedding in Google Chrome we can see our logo, but in Firefox (47.0) our logo is not visible, how can we solve it?Thanks for your help!
Regards,
JanosHello Janos,
1) I’m still seeing the same issue:
The video in http://www.hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp2/ plays and I can see you are using FV Player 6.0.5.3.
But on https://www.muveszetekvolgye.hu/ it doesn’t play because the http://www.hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp2/ is not served via https://.
I don’t see why it works for you. Have you accepted the self signed certificate warning which popup up when you open https://www.hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp2/ ? However that link doesn’t open properly on https:// even if I accept the bad certificate.
To fix this properly you have to get SSL running properly for https://www.hungary-live.com and also make sure it load the site properly.
2) I see that I can open http://www.muveszetekvolgye.hu/ and then the video plays.
The font for player icons won’t load as you are opening the Iframe like http://www.hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp2/ but the WordPress site creating it is set to run without www, so the correct URL to embed is: http://hungary-live.com/en/kapolcs/fvp2/
In this case I can also see the logo properly in both Firefox and Chrome.
3) Older versions of FV Player can be downloaded here: https://wordpress.org/plugins/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/developers/ It works that way for any plugin for which the developers are tagging the older releases.
Thanks,
MartinHello Martin!
Thanks for your help! We will manage these problems!
This evening we will install the 6.0.5.5 again for testing!Thank you for the older versions!
One more questions: if our license will expired, could we upgrade, or asking in the support? As i wrote to you, your plugin is so important for us.
Regards,
JanosHello Janos,
just make sure you use http:// consistently if you don’t have https:// enabled. Also pay attention if you use www in your domain or not.
We recommend you renew your license to get the most recent updates we are working on.
If you need hands-on help on your website, you can order our pro support: http://foliovision.com/pro-support
Thanks,
MartinHi Martin!
We’ve tested it again. The Iframe embedding not works with the 6.0.5.4, and 6.0.5.5, only with the 6.0.5.3, so maybe some changes went wrong in the 6.0.5.4…
One more question: if our partners paste the embed code, the picture is ok, but the height of the whole iframe is too big. The video is ok, but it seem to be like the frame is too high, For example:
Our original site: http://www.hungary-live.com/katlan/
And the website with our iframe tags (huge space between the videos): http://www.ordogkatlan.hu/2016/08/ingyen-wifi-es-vele-webkamerak.htmlThanks for your help!
Regards,
JanosNow our partner modified the iframe, but in other sites we had the same problem. (now they use static height with iframe)
One more important server side effect question: the splash function (only one camera at one time) not possible to working with embedding? For example in this festival live solution many people just play-play-play 3 different videos, and we had 3 times higher load like with splash function, which is working perfect on our site.
Regards,
JanosHello Janos,
it looks you are still mixig http://www.hungary-live.com and hungary-live.com. Your site is set to run as http://hungary-live.com/ in wp_options, but you put in a redirection from http://hungary-live.com/ to http://www.hungary-live.com/ so the player icons don’t appear.
Regarding the bad iframe dimensions, it looks like the aspect ratio of the splash image is not matching the player size and the iframe width is 700px while the width of the content column on that other site is 640px, so it doesn’t fit properly.
I guess I see what you mean about the splash function – FV Player normally only allows you to play a single video per page, but it doesn’t apply if you create multiple iframe embeds on some other page. Thank you for reporting this. I wonder if we could somehow push some of FV Player events to the parent page (which contains the iframe) and listed to if from the other iframes. I’m affraid it might not be possible, I think it works the same when using YouTube embeds.
Thanks,
Martin
