Exoclick No Longer Providing Category ID and Site ID

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › Exoclick No Longer Providing Category ID and Site ID

Just checked ExoClick and it seems they have updated their ad script. They are no longer providing the Category ID and the Site ID for the ads. Where can I get this info?

Thanks. can you let me know when its’ updated and what I need to do to alter my settings so I can still show the in video exoclick feature?

    Hello watchthepix,

next release of FV Player Pro will have a fix for this in its beta release – only zone ID will be the mandatory parameter.

To get this fix right now you can just download a new copy of the plugin from https://foliovision.com/my-licenses and then install from that ZIP file. To do that you first have to deactivate the plugin which you are currently using, then delete it (WordPress will warn you that you will lose some data, but it doesn’t apply to our plugin, no settings nor videos will be lost) and then use Plugins -> Add New -> Upload function with the ZIP file.

    Thanks,
    Martin

To avoid the scary data loss warning, just deactivate FV Player and then delete it via FTP. This works even with plugins who would delete their own data when you uninstall (very useful for us).

should I delete FV Player Pro and install the updated “pro,” or delete the FV Player and install the updated one?

I’ve set a 300×250 in video ad to appear and neither the exoclick frame, nor the ad appear. I have a self hosted .mp4 video playing fine, but no in video ad box appears for Exoclick. Please help.

    my post is http://nsfwvidz.com/twerk-flip-cup/
I updated both the fv player and fv pro plugins and no settings have changed on the backend. in the player settings, it’s still asking for the login, category id, zone id and site id. Do i leave these blank now except for my login username and the zone id?

    Hello watchthepix,

You should re-install the Pro plugin, the free plugin can remain intact. We’re currently looking into the settings issue, so I’ll let you know what to do as soon as possible.

    Thanks,
    Eduard

    Hello watchthepix,

yes, you should be seeing a note in FV Player Pro settings that only the “Exoclick zone ID” part of Exoclick ad code is required.

However I see that you get following error on your website on the JavaScript console:

invideo.js?ver=4.9.4:6 Uncaught TypeError: $f.addPlugin is not a function
        at invideo.js?ver=4.9.4:6

Please submit that to Exoclick ads support, it seems as if they are trying some extra ad initialization. They try to use some addPlugin call of Flowplayer which doesn’t exist – it’s something that existed in Flowplayer 3, but not in Flowplayer 6, which is the core of FV Player. It seems to me that their video player detection code is flawed, as they seem to work with Flowplayer 5 too, which is not that far from Flowplayer 6.

    Thanks,
    Martin
