Hello! We have been having Flowplayer issues on our site for the past 24 hours. We have definitely isolated it to only the stream of videos on our WordPress site which uses the WP flow player plug-in (Version 1.2.16).
Our host server has recently made an upgrade to Cento OS 6 and their recommendation is as follows:
<Our first process here would be to contact the Flowplayer developer and inform him/her that you are on a Cent OS 6 server now and ask if there are any compatibility issues, particularly with paths that may have changed.>This makes good sense to me since we have no other problems on the site other than this video player.
Please advise as to if there is a newer version of Flow Player which is compatible with Cent OS6 and is it available to all users. Also, advise if you agree that this is likely the cause of disruption with our videos running from Flow Player.We are fending customers off but need to have this resolved asap so appreciate your speedy reply. TY.

there must have been some change on the server which prevents the videos to be played, maybe they have stared to compress the media files.
The problems reported so far, which were related to hosting, were always streaming problems caused by the servers themselves, which cannot be solved by us. Nor we are relying on any server paths, we’re using only paths to videos, which I guess haven’t changed.
Does this problem you’re having appear in all browsers or only in particular ones? I am asking because just recently another user reported that the media files could not be played in Chrome, and he found there was an issue with compression of his filed on the server, he found a solution, check out the post from Beninsky in this thread.
All in all we are not using any special server depended technology, Flowplayer uses flash, so this needs to be there, but other then that it’s just javascript, php and html.
