Hi there,
I upgraded to the new plugin version yesterday and the lightbox was beautiful! …and the playlist worked just fine.
As I was working on adding more videos, the playlist disappeared.
I spoke to my client’s provider and he did some fixes to the htaccess file (because we were having other plugin issues) and the playlist thumbnails reappeared, but only for a short time.I just copied all the code to my own website and the thumbnails showed up just fine, so I know it’s not the plugin or its settings. I also changed the theme on my client’s site to make sure it wasn’t the current theme (but that didn’t solve the problem either).
I’m suspecting it has to do with the host (my client is using a local guy) who might I sensed was limited in his WordPress knowledge.Could someone have a look and perhaps give me a solution I can send to the hosting company? I’m getting extremely frustrated. :(

that sounds like a very strange issue. I don’t see how this could be related to .htaccess.
Do you mean that the playlist or the thumbnails disappeared from the page content? Or did it disappeared from the editor?
Do you have a link where we could look at the issue ourselves? If it’s a generic issue in our plugin, we are happy to have a look and work on a bugfix. If it’s a specific compatibility issue with you site, we are happy to have a look at what specific features your site is using and find the plugin conflict, if you order our pro support.

Martin, I just disabled the “FV Player Pro” and the thumbnails/playlist reappeared (on the page content).
Of course, the problem is we don’t have the lightbox now.

I see, so you are using lightbox + playlist at the same time.
While what you want is to have 20 little boxes and clicking each will open the big video. To do this, you have to use as many shortcodes as the video lightboxes you need:

…
If you want to align the players in a grid like above, you can add align=”left” to each.
I recommend that you test:
1. remove lightbox from your live page
2. this on a test post
3. then decide what you like better. If you just go with lightbox, it might need some styling to look as nice as the playlist. The playlist is nice too. Lightbox doesn’t support the autoadvance though.If you have an idea about how to join the functionality of lightbox and playlist, we are happy to hear about it. If we add that feature, it should be simple and effective.

I see now, you mean the “next” button which appears if you hover the mouse over the lightbox popup.
Just add multiple players with lightbox on them and it will group them into the “gallery” automatically. You you will have “next” and “prev” automatically – circling through the videos.

the popup size is determined by the video size which you enter at the top of the shortcode editor as “Width” and “Height”. Or you can add width=”640″ and height=”360″ to the shortcode by hand.
The splash image size which you need to click to open the lightbox popup is determined by the width and height in the lightbox section of the editor.

Martin, thank you very much. I set up the lightbox player in a grid and it looks absolutely beautiful! :) I actually like it better than the playlist!
(we’ll see what my client says. I’ve set up both for him to choose)
