Great to see you hear Tio!
Martin, it would make more sense to me that if a playlist can be embedded that when one embeds a video from a playlist one gets the full playlist starting from that video.
Tio, I’m a bit worried about adding too many options. It becomes very programmery. Programmers love options but options confuse and discourage normal users. It’s like the supermarket when there are fifty five different kinds of yoghurt or jam. One can get tired of looking and just buy nothing.
Hello Tio,
There’s really a lot of things on our plate at the moment but adding more share options is still on our lists. I will ask our development team about it.
If you want to find more info about new features, please check our weblog.
Thanks,
JurajI see thanks. For the moment there is no way to embed a video from a playlist unless you embed the entire playlist. Would be fantastic to allow for such an option. We produce many videos and use your plugin to post them on our website – we are volunteers and make no money out of that. People emailed us a few times asking how they can embed the videos we post on their own websites, but since most of our videos are posted in playlists-more, they can’t embed individual videos so we have no solution for them right now. We would love to see a solution for this.
Hello Tio,
this got stuck in our pipeline. I was just supposed to test it and release.
So now I put up the new test version of our plugin here and it works: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/playlist-styles
I pick any playlist, play any video and when I copy the embed link I get something like:
<iframe src="https://foliovision.com/player/demos/playlist-styles/fvp-5#fvp_39" allowfullscreen width="790" height="1271" frameborder="0" style="max-width:100%"></iframe>
Then if I embed that somewhere else, it show that full playlist, but goes to the item I selected right away.
If it works, then you can reinstall FV Player from this link to be able to test this improvement on your website: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/11213823-fix-player-embed-settings.zip To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.
Thanks,
MartinThanks a lot that’s awesome. But for our website it does not work. See here https://www.tromsite.com/videos/
Hello Tio,
you are right, here is the correct link: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/11248518-embed-item-position-module-rework.zip
Sorry about that.
Thanks,
MartinI see thanks. This one seems to be the right one. However it seems like is not working. The embed code changes indeed, mentioning the ID of the video too, but it is always the id of the first video in the playlist. See this https://www.tromsite.com/videos/
Ah check now please https://www.tromsite.com/videos/ – for some strange reasons wordpress automatically deactivates the FV plugin it says files were not found on the server. it is weird because it works to activate it again….
Hello Tio,
it seem you updated FV Player, but you will have to stick to https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/11248518-embed-item-position-module-rework.zip version to be able to test that out.
None of the videos on https://www.tromsite.com/videos/ play for me. They seem to load for too long.
Thanks,
MartinHi Martin, for me and everyone else I tried with, it works very well. Archive.org is a video streaming platform on top of many of their great services that they provide for free. My connection here is 1-2MB/s, quite slow, and I can still load the videos. In any case here’s a screenrecording to show you that for one the videos load and second what’s the error https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2o7Tbu8ZOhQ&feature=youtu.be
Hello Tio,
please reinstall from https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/11248518-embed-item-position-module-rework.zip and the issue will be fixed.
Thanks,
MartinHello Tio,
we disabled that autoplay function (that #fvp part of URL is handled by the FV Player Video Link feature which works that way) please reinstall from https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/11248518-embed-item-position-module-rework.zip again and the issue will be fixed.
Thanks,
MartinHello Tio,
this has been fixed, please reinstall from https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/11248518-embed-item-position-module-rework.zip again and the issue will be fixed.
Thanks,
Martin
